Makeup Styling for HDTV, Film, Video, Print & Bridal
A little about myself...
I have over 7 years experience in the professional makeup industry. I also have over 5 years experience with airbrush makeup for HD. I am professionally trained and highly recommended by producers, directors and brides from Los Angeles to Nashville to Philidelphia and in-between. I am currently located in Nashville, TN but will travel to any location.
My makeup career began at Estee Lauder counter while I studied Fine Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. I took a strong interest in makeup there and decided a career in makeup was perfect for me. I researched my options for learning about the makeup industry, and decided that a short, hands-on makeup program was my best bet. I attended Virginia Cinema Makeup School, now known as Makeup Artist Studio in Richmond, Virginia. I learned commercial beauty and makeup styling for editorial there. I was also introduced to airbrush makeup there and have been using that as my medium 90% of the time ever since.
I resided in Williamsburg Virginia for over 6 years with my husband who is in the U.S. Army, and my two children. There I was contracted with Colonial Williamsburg Productions where I worked on numerous documentaries for them. I also worked routinely with Studio 108, DreamsFactory, and Team People in D.C. for clients like Viacom, Wal-Mart, FarmFresh, and Virginia Department of Tourism. My work was there was primarily in video, commercial, and bridal although I did work on the occasional fashion show or indy film.
My family and I moved back to Tennessee in 2009. I have found myself gravitating more towards commercial print and fashion since moving to the Nashville area. I am currently a makeup artist and makeup director for assorted Playboy events in Hollywood, including special effects and my latest endeavor- body painting.
